Currently, I reside in Chapel Hill, North Carolina where I am pursuing a PhD in Cognitive Neuroscience. Prior to Chapel Hill, I lived in Portland Oregon. After graduating from Portland State University with a degree in Psychology & Neuroscience, I studied infant and adolescent brain development at the Oregon Health & Science University. During my time in Portland, I also co-created and participated in a number of science-related outreach programs.
For a brief stint, I lived in and worked remotely from a small town in southern Oregon (Rogue Valley) while my fiancee’ completed her clinical fellowship as a Speech, Language, & Swallowing Pathologist. Prior to returning to school to attend Portland State University, I was an Interactive Media & Web Designer. Before teaching myself to code, design, and build websites and interactive marketing materials, I was a Graphic Designer in Tallahassee, Florida.
When not in the lab (in-person or virtual), I can most often be found hiking and spending time with the family outdoors. I have recently taken up painting and enjoy gardening, drumming, live music, and wine and craft beer tasting.
